Meet Joan

Hi, I’m Joan Gilbert, owner of Mindfulness with Joan. As a Life Empowerment Guide and Health Psychology Coach in Scottsdale, AZ, I offer in-person and virtual appointments and classes. I lead one-on-one coaching sessions from the heart with empathy and compassion, creating a non-judgmental space for developing self-awareness and creating the life you desire.  

With the tools of meditation, mindfulness, Reiki, and PSYCH-K®, I help you connect your mind, body and soul. Using thought-provoking questions and reflective listening, I help you:

  • increase your present moment awareness,
  • decrease stress and anxiety,
  • eliminate self-limiting beliefs,
  • develop personalized well-being practices, and
  • find peace of mind.

My knowledge and education in Health Psychology combined with my diverse work experience (business, health coaching, and volunteering with children experiencing cancer) inform my holistic, strengths-based approach to guide you in improving your physical, psychological, social, emotional and spiritual well-being. 

My practice began when I followed my passion, leaving my corporate finance career after 25+ years to pursue a Master’s Degree in Health Psychology. Subsequently, I became a PSYCH-K® facilitator and Reiki practitioner to further support mind, body, and spiritual wellness. Today, I am living my best life and fulfilling my dream of being a Life Empowerment Guide and Health Psychology Coach. 

In my practice, no client is broken or labeled. I work with you at whatever stage of life you are in and honor you right where you are. Then I help you explore your subconscious mind, identify the changes you seek, and walk with you as a guide on your journey to create your new reality.
